PROFESSIONAL AND ACADEMIC
My name is Joseph Taylor. I am an American living in Madrid. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2004. From 2004-2009 I worked in the banking industry as a Treasury Management officer. In 2009, I began a Master's degree program in Business Administration (MBA) from Schiller International University here in Madrid, with an emphasis on International Business.
TEACHING IS MY PASSION
I have always enjoyed teaching. While attending university, I completed a course in English Language Teaching. I have excelled throughout my academic and professional career in writing, reading comprehension, and oral communication.
WHY ENGLISH?
In today's world of multi-national companies and advanced telecommunication, it is becoming more and more ESSENTIAL to know how to speak, read, and write in the English language. It is the language of business. It is the language spoken around the world by international travelers, students and working professionals. Knowing English, and knowing it well, will be a key factor in opening up a world of possibilities to you, both personally and professionally.
NOT JUST KNOWING IT, BUT KNOWING IT WELL
The course will help you refine your English skills. You will be able to communicate in a professional and concise manner. I will help explain many of the words and phrases that can often be difficult to understand. Above all, the courses will be enjoyable.
NOT FOR BEGINNERS
If you need a translator to read this, then this course is not for you. The course is designed for upper intermediate and advanced learners. We will not speak Spanish at all during the classes. Communicating in Spanish will impede your language learning progress. We will teach, clarify, explain, and speak in English.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
The classes are held at my home in the Atocha neighborhood. However, I am available to teach at your home or office, as long as it is in Central Madrid and accessible by Metro. I am available Monday through Saturday, from 8am to 10pm. The only time I am not available is when I have University classes. Let me know when you would like to meet, and I will do my best to accommodate your schedule.
